The running staff at Footworks are all trained by Anatom Academy and American guru Phil Oren. We also have our own consultant C.Ped "Colin Martin" who is one of the very few specialists to have obtained this highly regarded qualification. Footworks Staff are specialist in the evaluation and remedies of foot problems such as overpronation, supination and all aspects of the lower leg. 25 years of fitting ski boots and hiking shoes combined with the extensive knowledge of an enthusiastic running staff give Footworks the confidence to fit their customers into the correct shoes.

Footworks also specialise in high performance fabrics designed for the active running outdoor enthusiast, not only do these fabrics look and feel slinky they have the ability to allow the user to perform longer through their ability to wick away moisture and control temperature.

The shop boasts VIDEO GAIT EVALUATION in store and a programme of events aimed at both competitive and non competitive running. This combination gives us the competitive edge to fit you to the correct shoe with total confidence.

Mon................7.00pm (5k group and 10k group) Next meet Every Mon.

Thurs..............7.00pm (5k group and 10k group) Next meet Every Thurs.

Sun.................9.30am (3 groups, group 1; 7.5 min/mile pace 15 miles +/ group 2; 8.5 - 9min/mile pace 10-12 miles, / group 3; 10-11min /mile pace 6-9 miles.)

6th May.................The Great Edinburgh Run 10K, This run is a must on the calendar, it has to be the most scenic 10K's in the UK. Organisation is by Nova International who operate the Great North Run. If you have not entered already get in touch with FOOTWORKS and we will send out an entry form.

Meet at Footworks at Snowlines 14/15 Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh, 5 mins before to pair people into similar paced Running groups to benefit the run. Running store will be open for meeting.

We now have groups training with us and being coached towards London Marathon, Edinburgh Marathon, Dublin Marathon, Loch Ness Marathon, ING New York Marathon, La Salle Bank Chicago Marathon, Amsterdam Marathon, Paris Marathon, Stockholm Marathon and of course Boston Marathon. These are just a few of the events which the Footworks Runners are helping peolpe achieve.

Pictured on the left of your screen is ZACHARY KIHARA the winner of the Edinburgh Marathon 2005 although he started out the race as John Mutai's pacemaker. He overtook John in the closing stages to make a dramatic finish to a hard and greulling race. Look out for this name in the future, currently coached by Ian Ladbroke as is John Mutai.

The Womens race was won by Sinaida Semenova in 2:33.36.
